We planned our entire Florida trip around finding the magnificent Snail Kites! This one we only saw from a great distance [the advantage of packing a 1000mm lens!]. This is a immature Snail Kite in the southern part of Everglades National Park in Florida.

An adult female Snail Kite we saw near the Miccosukee Indian Restaurant in Everglades National Park at dusk.
