Osprey locations in Arizona

Osprey are accidental in our area during the winter and migration months. We have seen several, but there is little pattern to their location and frequency of occurance. Remember that Osprey eat fish only, so they have an inherent necessity to be near large bodies of water. For this purpose, a few of our winter Osprey sightings have been near Silverbell Lake, in western Tucson. If you are seriously looking for Osprey, you have to go to the water!
