Harris' Hawk
Parabuteo unicinctus
This adult Female Harris' Hawk is one of the family group of at least five that are resident and easy to find at the Roger Road Ponds and Sweetwater Wetlands on the west side of Tucson. They commonly roost on Cottonwood snags on the North side of the spur of Sweetwater Drive that shoots of from the frontage road west of I-10 just south of Wetmore.
