Same adult Female Cooper's Hawk at Ft. Lowell park in Tucson.
This adult Coopers' Hawk roosts regularly at Silverbell Lake in the evergreens at the east end of the model airplane field. The entire Silverbell Lake area, north to Wetmore and east to Sweetwater Wetlands in Tucson is home to 4 regularly roosting raptors: Red-Tailed Hawk, Peregrine Falcon, Cooper's Hawk, and Harris' Hawk. A Cooper's Hawk nest is located on a high-voltage power tower just south of Christopher Columbus Park.
This is the same adult Cooper's. This is its second favorite roosting spot-check all of the tall trees on the east side of Silverbell Lake, near the Santa Cruz River.
