Black Vulture locations in Arizona

Black Vultures are pretty rare in Arizona, but can be found relatively frequently in a few select locations.  There is a large Black Vulture roost just east of Rio Rico, near Nogales, and Black Vultures can be spotted easily at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum [arrive early-they are best spotted when they take off from their overnight roosting spots on the museum grounds].  Also try Arivaca Cienega and Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge.

The Black Vultures here often fly with Turkey Vultures, so within the range, keep a close eye on every supposedly boring Turkey Vulture you come across.
